If you’re passionate about making a tangible impact—and don’t mind the occasional purr or playful tail swish in your workspace—we’d love to meet you!

We’re seeking a dynamic Development Director to lead our fundraising strategy and amplify our lifesaving work. You’ll be the driving force behind donor relationships, grants, events, and campaigns—ensuring OAR has the resources to create brighter futures for cats in need.

What You’ll Do:

  • Fuel Our Mission: Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan, from major gifts to corporate sponsorships, while diversifying revenue streams.
  • Build Lasting Bonds: Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners—translating their passion into impactful support.
  • Lead with Strategy: Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to align fundraising with organizational goals, tracking progress and adapting as needed.

  • A seasoned fundraiser with 5+ years of nonprofit development experience and a track record of meeting (or exceeding!) revenue goals.
  • A relationship-builder who thrives on connecting people to causes they care about.
  • A strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and communication skills—able to write a persuasive grant proposal and charm a room of donors.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms (Bloomerang familiarity ideal).
  • Adaptable and collaborative, with a knack for balancing big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution.
  • Passionate about animal welfare (experience in the field is a bonus, but not required—just bring your enthusiasm!).

Purrks of the Job:

  • Hybrid work flexibility in a mission-driven, cat-friendly environment.
  • Opportunities to innovate and grow OAR’s fundraising potential.
  • The joy of knowing your work directly saves lives—with occasional kitten cuddles as a perk.
