Ohio Alleycat Spay/Neuter Clinic performs approximately 10,000 spay and neuter surgeries a year for cats in the Greater Cincinnati area. Our patients include beloved pets, community cats, and feral cats. Do YOU want to help us in our mission?
Are you a cat person who loves the idea of helping other cat people? Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic is seeking a cat-loving, customer-service-superstar to join us as a clinic Client Services Coordinator!
The Client Services Coordinator (CSC), is the first person clients see when they arrive at our door, and is the face of Ohio Alleycat Resource’s Spay/Neuter Clinic. Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the CSC team works directly with the public to facilitate access to spay/neuter for cats from every walk of life. As a CSC at Ohio Alleycat Resource, you’ll work to discharge patients after surgery, and ensure arriving patients are admitted accurately and efficiently. Throughout the day, you will also book appointments in person, over the phone, or through email using our clinic management software; answer questions about our programming; handle financial transactions; and make sure medical records are in tip-top shape. We work on a tight schedule to provide as many as 70 spay/neuter surgeries every day, so you’re the kind of person who can keep their cool under pressure and keep things moving along – all with a smile!

Details
We are looking for a full-time (32 hours) Client Services Coordinator at our Spay/Neuter Clinic, located at 5619 Orlando Place in Cincinnati.
– Shifts start at 7:30AM on Monday and 7:15AM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. (You get Fridays off!) Shifts end between 3:00-3:30PM, depending on completion of closing tasks.
– Pay: $15.00
– PTO accrued every pay period

Department: Adoption Center: Medical

Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic (OAR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of felines in the Greater Cincinnati Area. As part of our mission, we operate an adoption center and a feline-only, high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinic. Each year, our clinic provides affordable spay/neuter surgeries and preventative veterinary care to approximately 12,000 cats, and our adoption center places approximately 1,500 cats in loving homes!
We are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for animal welfare, a commitment to high-quality care, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This position supports our Shelter Medical program, which allows candidates to hone a diverse skill set in shelter med! You’ll assist with specialty surgeries such as enucleations, dentals, and amputations, spay/neuter surgeries, and will support the health of our shelter cat population every day.

RVT – Adoption Center (Shelter)
The Shelter RVT is responsible for the daily care of the cats in the Adoption Center and in WAC. Significant responsibilities include caring for cats, providing examinations for new intakes, fosters, and cats currently housed in the Adoption Center, administering routine vaccinations and medications, and assisting in surgical procedures scheduled by the Shelter Medical Director.
- Perform physical examinations to detect any signs of illness or disease.
- Assist with procedures such as enucleations, amputations, and dentals.
- Identify and implement the medical protocol designated by the Shelter Medical Director upon intake, before adoption, and once an animal is diagnosed with a specific medical condition.
- Prepare vaccines and medications that will be used to inoculate and medicate animals received.
- Administer vaccines and medications.
- Take steps to ensure clean and sanitary conditions in the animal housing areas.
- Perform animal restraint during medical procedures.
- Maintain medical records in Shelter Manager software.
- Work with volunteers, both in-house cat care and fosters, to instruct and advise in performing animal health care duties.
- Providing emergency medical support during scheduled on-call shifts and as the Shelter Medical Director deems necessary.
- Performing euthanasia on an animal that is untreatable and suffering inhumanely as directed by the Shelter Medical Director and/or the Chief Operating Officer of OAR.
- Perform any task assigned by the Shelter Medical Director in a timely manner.
